NAHRIS - Dealing with NAtural Hazards and RISks
Our densely populated living space increasingly encroaches on areas exposed to dangerous natural processes. A broad-based knowledge of earth sciences and socio-economic matters is required to cope with the associated risks.
"Dealing with natural hazards and Risks " is an e-course offering basic and continuous interdisciplinary training for specialists. The e-course is divided in 6 modules:
 |
- Module 0: Overview and Guide
- Module 1: Basic Knowledge and Tools
- Module 2: Hydrological Hazards
- Module 3: Geological and Tectonic Hazards
- Module 4: Vulnerability
- Module 5: Integral Natural Risk
|
Findings of current research are incorporated directly into the virtual classroom. The course also prepares students for collective tasks in the field. It is conducted in English.
